Primarily, this quarantine facility has been initiated for people who cannot stay at home and also at the free institutional quarantine centres. These centres have been set up for isolating the potential coronavirus carriers and covid +ve patients.
Earlier, only AMC (Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation) was handling and providing these facilities. But, with the increase in the number of coronavirus patients, they gave permission to private hotels and hospitals to take care of these patients.
AMC and the State Government are trying their best to keep everything in place in such chaotic situations. For ensuring the safety of citizens, they have also declared several areas as the Micro containment zones. Not only that, citizens are being monitored carefully and fined for breaking the rules. Be it for not wearing the mask or breaking the 14-day quarantine rule.
