History of Santrampur
The heart of Santrampur – Shri Joraver Vilas was built in 1926 by Saheb Shir Joraver Singh. Santrampur is a town located in the Mahisagar district of Gujarat.
This palatial villa belongs to Maharana Santrampur and his royal family which has been transformed into a hotel for guests. As per records, Rana Sant is said to have been the first ruler of the princely state who established the Santrampur kingdom in 1255. The Maharana Saheb Shri Joraver Singh built Shri Joraver Vilas in 1926 who later ruled Santrampur.
Presently, the royal family of HH Maharana Paranjayaditya and his wife Maharani Mandakini Kumari reside at this beautiful villa. The reason behind opening the doors open to guests is to create an experience of royal hospitality. There are five rooms and suites that exude the real beauty of the royal palace. You’ll be amazed by the aesthetics of the surroundings as well as the drawing-room, vintage artefacts in the courtyard.
Rather than the cliche swimming pools, you find in most of the hotels and resorts, here you can enjoy your meals by the lake or even better, relish high-tea in the middle of the lake.
